PAYMENT OPTIONS

At Truworths, we're committed to making things as convenient as possible for you. That's why there are no less than six ways for you to pay your account:

PAYING VIA DEBIT ORDER

Please note the following regarding payment by debit order:

Truworths processes debit orders on a daily basis. You may choose any date for the debit order to be activated excluding the 8th to the 14th of each month, when our monthly statements are run.

You may choose to pay the full balance or monthly instalments, which refers to the total amount due.

Currently, debit orders may only be activated on savings, transmission and cheque accounts. Truworths will only process debit orders from South African banks and certain Namibian bank accounts.

If a debit order is unpaid, an administration fee (as decided upon from time to time by Truworths) will be charged to your Truworths account along with the outstanding amount.

Banks do not process debit orders over weekends and bank (public) holidays. In such instances, the debit will be deducted on the next working day.

Truworths reserves the right to cancel a debit order after the bank returns it for the second time as a result of "No funds available."

Applications for debit orders and requests for the cancellation of debit orders will be accepted by Truworths in store, in writing (by fax or e-mail) or by calling our Customer Call Centre on 0861 878 967 or +27 21 460 2300.

PAYING VIA STORE CHEQUE DEPOSIT BOXES

Simply drop your cheque into the deposit boxes available in all stores. It couldn't be easier! Please remember to attach your remittance advice to the cheque or write your account number on the cheque.

PAYING VIA ATM

You can link your Truworths account number to your ATM account number either by going into your nearest branch or at the ATM terminal. Please note that there are specific requirements for linking accounts, so it is advisable to check with your branch first.
