I would like you to help me to dress like my age group which is 40 years old. I don’t know what to buy when I get to the store and I end up buying things that are for people of the younger generation. Please help me!!
Here’s what we would suggest to update your wardrobe:
A slim-cut pair of chinos in a stone/khaki/neutral colour; Dark indigo jeans in either a relaxed or skinny fit; The check shirt – this is a classic item to add to your wardrobe! A double-breasted trench coat in black or stone; Classic military jacket in grey or black; Buy some plain tees – white, black and grey can be used with almost any outfit; Lastly biker boots (a huge trend) or flat brogues.
Make sure you steer away from bright, embellished or printed t-shirts and overly baggy jeans!!
What type of hair accessories are in fashion this winter , for women ?
We love the alice band - a nod to the 80's. It's also a huge trend at the moment to tie a pretty scarf around your head or plait into your hairstyle.
I have recently changed jobs from an admin office environment into a male engineering field. I want to look feminine and not a tom boy! Please advise as to how I can still look professional and feminine?
We can suggest trying:
Jeans – try the new 70s flare or slim fit style; Leggings worn with a tunic or oversize knitted jersey;
A jumpsuit – for the feminine ‘engineers’ look; A pair of slim cut cotton chinos and smart shirt or jersey;
For shoes – try a pair of flat brogues – LTD and Inwear have some stunning ones available; or ballet pumps.
