While the visual arts are not always given high priority, we believe that they form an integral part of society and that without them, life would definitely be less interesting. As a result, we have made it our aim to encourage the development of creativity, not only in our employees, but in our CSI projects as well.

GOOD HOPE ART – CASTLE OF GOOD HOPE ARTS RESIDENCY

The Art residency programme at the Castle of Good Hope, provides space for young, talented artists to develop and showcase their work and attend developmental workshops. The artists are encouraged to promote their work in the foyer of our Corporate Head Office.

WORKSHOPS FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (BLIND; DEAF)

This is a unique area where we support educational programmes, linked to the arts, for physically challenged children.

IBHABHATHANE PROJECT, FRANK JOUBERT ART SCHOOL

This long-standing programme for disadvantaged youth attending art classes, is currently being re-designed to take place in community centres and provide ‘skills to pay the bills.

PARKING PROJECT

We are committed to uplifting disadvantaged communities and employ parking attendants as part of a job creation project, in the parking area in front of our Head Office.
